me: Oh? What was it?
male co-worker: This girl who I always see at the football games asked if I would be at the homecoming game!
me: Well…maybe she didn’t know know you were a sports reporter.
male co-worker: oh, she knows. (He says this in a matter-of-factly tone)
me: Well, maybe she has a crush on you and wanted to make sure she could see you there.
male co-worker: (pauses for a second and gives my statement a thought)
